We are looking for a motivated Engineering Technician to work in our Manchester, Iowa, office to provide support to our engineering team. We are a group of talented, trustworthy and skilled people who are passionate about what we do and enjoy providing personalized attention to our clients. Oh, and, we like to have fun.

What you'll do
You'll spend time in the field surveying, collecting topographic information and completing construction layout. Office work may include creating and interpreting drawings in CAD, preparation of calculations, summary sheets or other data processing at the direction of others.

What it takes
We would like you to have an associate degree in engineering technology, construction technology, architectural technology or CAD drafting from a technical college or institution, but it is not required. Significant relevant experience in a similar operation may offset a formal education.

If you are a recent grad or you have up to five years' experience, we're interested. You should speak and write well something we take seriously. You should have strong analytical and organizational skills. You must be a team player. We also should mention that you will be encouraged to stretch professionally and you will be allowed to fail. Individual effort is met with great team support to achieve project success. We work hard together to create a collaborative environment, providing insightful, results-driven solutions for our clients.

This position will primarily be field work, including collecting topographic survey data, setting up and maintaining project survey control, and conducting construction layouts and boundary field surveys. Prior experience and job-related education preferred but not required. Work weeks will commonly exceed 40 hours, especially during the construction season. Some work may require travel and nights on the road. Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry 50 pounds or more, and work in all-weather conditions throughout the year.
